Welcome to my Funeral Friend Celebrant Service. I am Jinty Seaton, an Independent Civil Funeral celebrant. I am Privileged to offer my bespoke, Personable Celebrant service to you along with my genuine compassion, understanding, relatable friendship in grief.
I am a 42 year old mother of one son, born in Lancashire. I lived in London for 26 years and moved to Cheshire 3 years ago. I am a Civil Celebrant who conducts weddings, funerals and ceremonies. All of which I have a passion for delivering. I work with charities, speak at events and support young people, another role I have a passion for. All my previous jobs have a common factor… understanding and helping people.
I have a love for helping other people in all capacities, supporting, advising; making someone else’s path smoother, whether they are aware at the time or not. I feel a great sense of personal satisfaction and achievement when playing a supporting role and this and my life experience is what naturally led me to my calling as a Funeral celebrant.
I am certainly no stranger to grief and death, I learned to cope with death at a young age after my Father and Mother passed away before I was 21 years old. Sadly, I have lost 4 members of my close family since then, my experiences allow me to bring a greater sense of empathy to my role as a funeral celebrant.
I have worked around the full circle of life, quite literally. Formerly working as a personal assistant, office manager then on to work in the Local Authority for 12 years in registration and deputyship finance. I worked for people who had lost their capacity to deal with their personal financial affairs. I found this role rewarding and it brought me a great sense of achievement; a warmth in my heart of knowing I was helping my clients despite them being blissfully unaware of this. I would always naturally go above and beyond my role knowing that I had helped as much as I morally and personally could.
In 2013, I moved into a post as a Civil Deputy Superintendent Registrar of births, deaths, marriages and conducted citizenship ceremonies. I also had the privilege of conducting hundreds of civil wedding ceremonies, I thoroughly enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I feel privileged to had listened to their stories and share in their precious life events of births, deaths and marriage. I enjoyed conducting every marriage ceremony, feeling the radiance of the audience and the couples love of one another.
I deliver every ceremony I conduct from my heart, personalising each one to the occasion. When grieving your lost loved one, a beautiful service which truly celebrates the life of your loved one is the only fitting tribute.
In my many years of registering births and deaths, I always felt a strong connection with the informants who came to register a death. From my own experiences I was able to understand and relate to their grief. To receive empathy and respect when you are grieving a loved one is so important at such a difficult time. I have lost count of the times I have had a personal thank you from informants, they were grateful for the level of service they received from me.
I understand the pain of grief that death brings to you from my surmountable years of both personal and professional experience, and this allows me to have a heightened sense of understanding and respect.
